Review
It has been so long since I've seen this show, that a review by me would hardly be fair. I was lucky enough to see it during it's opening run in Los Angeles, and I remember it was simply dazzling. It was my first official large-scale musical, so I had very little idea of what to expect. I sat 14th row orchestra, and I couldn't have asked for much more. I remember that there were stunning performances by almost every character, and the lighting and stage effects were beyond amazing. The transformation scene blew my mind. The choreograpy was great, especially in the bar scene with the barrels. (Those who have seen it before know what I'm talking about). Additionally, the "Be My Guest" scene was amazing, even though that's probably one of my least favorite songs in the entire musical. If you ever have a chance to see it, don't hesitate. It's worth every penny.
